        Going into this I was looking really forward to this story and getting to see a spin on the Peter Pan story. It has been forever and a day since I have been able to read a Peter Pan retelling. So, I was really looking forward to reading this. However, I was left pretty disappointed by it. I probably had way to high expectations for this and that is probably what ruined it for me. It was very predictable, and the main character Gwen got on my nerves a little. She acted weak and kept making obviously stupid decisions. When people were in trouble she just stood there. Gwen was probably what ruined the book the most for me out of everything else I had a problem with in this book.

        The plot overall was okay, the only problem I had with it was that is was extremely predicable. I had pretty much correctly predicted what was going to happen in the entire book by around page 100.

         I like the overall thought of this book, but I just think it lacked in some aspects.Even though I didn't really enjoy this one I still say go for this book if you are interested in reading it! ;D  This book made me want to read more Peter Pan retelling! ;D If you have any suggestions, tell me in the comments!!

2 Star Rating: It was okay, but it lacked in some aspects.

     I really love the whole idea of this book. I love how original it is and the idea of a girl with green skin, grass for hair, and a touch that could kill sounds pretty freaking awesome. I was really looking forward to this. But, when we are finally introduced to the "cursed girl," Isabel, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. Her character and overall personality just didn't really do it for me. I can't really explain it! There is just something about her... Also, Lucas didn't really do it for me either. Pretty much all the characters in this book had me feel this way. I can't explain it. Also, it was kind of weird how the two interacted with each other within like the first day of meeting. The way she talked to him, as if she has been friends with him for a long time. Within like the second day she was talking about him always doing this and that, etc. It was just stuck out as weird to me the way they would talk to each other sometimes.

       Now for the plot! I think overall the plot was pretty good. I love how unpredictable it is and how you never really know what is going to happen next. Like I have said about 3,000 times in this review, I think the idea of this book is awesome, and pretty original. This book, however, I think lacks in some aspects. It never really goes into depth about anything in this book, and the pacing was too fast at times. IT tends to jump around a lot. It never really stays in one scene for long. The duration of those scenes are over too fast, and it just left me wishing that the book dwelled longer in some parts of the book.

           Overall, this book was okay but, it lacked in some aspects.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster. 

         I did not really enjoy this book. It went a little to fast and it seemed as certain aspects of the story were just thrown in there for the heck of it. It also had insta-love. The romance and the I love you's happened way too fast. Also, I wish that we got to see more in depth of some of the characters like, Oliver's family. Madeline annoyed me. Some of the choices made by her and the other characters utterly surprised me. There were instances were Madeleine decided to go a path that meant possible ultimate death, and the people around her basically cleared a path for her to do it. It just bothered me.
     
         Some good aspects of this book would be the beginning and the plot twist. Definitely was shocked about how the story ended playing out. Something I was definitely not expecting. I loved the beginning sooooo much!! It was cute, adorable, and it really drew me in. It was just near the middle and the ending that drew me away.

         Even thought I didn't particularly enjoyed this one, I still recommend that you read this one. I know a lot of people who really loved this read. I say give it a try! I ended up giving this book 2 stars.

MY THOUGHTS:

         Before reading this book, I had pretty high expectations. I heard various people say that this book was pretty spooky and was a great book overall. I am a HUGE horror movie fan! Even though I'm that one person who hides under the covers, screams at every jump scare, and is freaking out before anything has even happened (you just know somethings about to happen XD). So, going into the book I was prepared to be terrified out of my mind. However, the biggest emotion I felt while reading this was probably boredom. I had a hard time just sitting down for a long period of time and trying to finish it.  

        The book went relatively slow but went too fast towards the end. The beginning was the slowest. It wasn't spooky much at all during the book until the end. The end might actually been my favorite part of the book for it was actually spooky. I had goosebumps! I wished it slowed down in the ending and had a little more happen.

I think overall this book could of been very promising. The idea was great but I feel like it was just poorly executed. The question is, would I recommend it? Yes and no. I didn't hate it but, I didn't love it. Some people actually really love this book and think it was amazing. It didn't just work for me. If you want to read this book I say go for it. But, don't set your expectations too high.
