This story follows three characters, Wink, Poppy, and Midnight.  In this book, not everything is as it seems and it's keeps you guessing a bit on who is not who they say they are and whose lying. It seems that people have pretty mixed feelings towards this book. I have seen people who either really love it or people who really dislike it. It seems like there is no in between. When I first started it I didn't understand why anybody would dislike it, it was gold! But, then I got mid-way through the book and I was like, "Oh, that's why." The beginning was going good, I loved it! Halfway it took a sharp, weird turn, that I didn't really like, and the characters turned out not to be as they portray themselves (which I knew that was going to happen but I didn't expect in the way it happened). This is the point that really just began to lose my interest and got me confused about a certain characters change in character. But, by the time that everything unfolded in the end and explained why certain things happened; I realized that it was pretty freaking awesome!

In the beginning, one character really stood out to me, and that was Wink.  I was seriously admiring Wink. I loved the way she didn't let other people and their hateful words towards her affect her in any way. She just shrugged it off like it was nothing. She was pretty freaking awesome! ;D Here is one quote from her that I loved,

"'So everyone saw my unicorn underwear, Midnight. So what. Repeat after me. So everyone saw Wink's unicorn underwear who cares.' ...

'In a hundred years, who will care about my unicorn underwear? Who cares right now? There are bigger things to think about.'

'Bigger things like what?

Even though, things happened in this book that I wasn't the biggest fan of, overall, this book was amazing. It felt realistic, the characters, the plot, everything. The author portrayed everything amazingly! I am definitely looking forward to reading more of her books in the future! ;D

         From the second I opened this book, I was pulled in. I absolutely love K. Kibbee's take on the entire Fae world. It really pulls the reader in and makes the reader carious about what will happen next. The ending of this was phenomenal. PHENOMENAL! It completely caught me off guard! Kibbee gives this sense that everything is going to be okay at the end. But, then shes like, you thought. This book is actually part of a series! The second book comes out in September and it's called, The Raven Queen! I seriously can't wait!!  Not only would I like to see more of this world from Kibee, I would also just like to in general like to see more writing from her! ;D

          This story follows Anne, a thirteen year old who is spending her summer break with some of her relatives. On the train ride there a boy tells her the story of Nowhere Town, a town that supposedly in the past was  once full of people, one day is suddenly disserted. Not a person in sight, still empty of people, and still full of the previous owners belongings. Let's just say everybody stays clear of Nowhere town. No one still really knows why the people went up and left. This pokes at Anne's curiosity and decides that eventually she will visit and investigate the so called Nowhere town. She gets her chance to investigate when her cousin and her cousin friends invite her to tag along. They end up abandoning her there in a house that they succeeded in locking. Anne, left all alone, begins to look for a way out, while also looking at what is in the house. She stumbles across a journal that dates back to the 1920's. As she reads through the journal, entry by entry, the mysterious Nowhere Town comes to life.

         I gave this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

This book does a fantastic job in really pulling the reader in! The second I started this book, I was already pulled in and didn't want to put it down. This book also does a great job on really keeping you one your toes. There was always something happening and it constantly left you guessing on what was going to happen. That ending was honestly, FANTASTIC! It felt so real and kind felt like reading the script of a movie!!!

This book follows, Sarah Merson. When her parents were killed when she was young, she hopped from foster home to foster home. Never really happy, nor being able to really settle down. It also doesn't help that she has a perfect memory and is constantly reminiscing the moment her parents were murdered right in front of her. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she gets the opportunity of a life time. She is invited to attend Sanctuary Bay, an isolated school that helps you turn your entire life around and turn it into the better. When she arrives there she is welcomed with open arms, and instantly makes new friends. For once in her life, she is genuinely happy. That all abruptly stops one day. She begins to uncover some of Sanctuary Bay's deepest, and darkest secrets, and realizes that Sanctuary Bay isn't as amazing as they make themselves seem.

Overall, great book! I loved every second of it! The characters are pretty likeable, and the pacing throughout the book is nice. I really hope there is a second installment to this book. With the way it ended it seemed like there would be another book, but as of right now I think this is the only one there will be. *crosses fingers for second book*

         This was a really nice read! I LOVE contemporary! After finishing a contemporary, I always feel happy. They are always so refreshing!

         This book was pretty short, and it kind of left me wanting more. I wanted more of just pretty much everything. I wanted more of what happened after, more Ava and Emi, possibly more Charlotte and Toby, more of the background setting up stuff, more Tamal, etc. In the beginning I was a little bored of all the movie set up talk but, soon it grew on me. I was really intrigued by it, and now I want to know a little more about it. ;) The next time I watch a TV Show or movie, I will probably find myself paying more attention to the background, setting, and how things are arranged.

         The book was, however,  kind of predictable. Which I, honestly, in most cases I hate. In this book, I didn't really mind. As I said it was a nice, short read and overall I'm really happy about this book. ;)

My Thoughts

Before reading this book I was extremely iffy about starting it. I haven't really read anything like this before, and just wasn't sure if I entirely wanted to read it. However, I saw it on the digital library homepage and thought why not. I surprisingly liked it. I love the fact that it is something new. What I love most about the book is probably the fact that there is so many points of view's(well somewhat). You get to look into the mind of the main character Eva, her friend Grace, and dun dun dun... the serial killer, Judge. Until the ending you have no idea who this "Judge" is. Which I freaking love and it kind of brought out my competitive streak in me. I spent the entire time trying looking for clues on who Judge is before the book revealed who he was. Which I honestly failed... I thought it was someone else. XD Even thought I love the fact that the book has different point of views, I was immensely creeped out by Judge. Anyone who has read the book would understand. He puts a whole another level on creeper. He is extremely insane. When ever I would finish a chapter of his point of view I would just be like...

Even though I was disturbed by the crap Judge was talking about I feel like it made the book better and kind of feel more realistic.

I also didn't really like the romance that was added to this book. I kind of felt like it was unnecessary. Like I can list whole bunch of stuff that is more important than her wanting to make out with Nate. Like the fact the guy who tried to kill you, and is obsessed over you is now killing your friends one by one. But, hey whatever.

Anyways, I really liked this book. This concept was really new to me and I loved it. I want to now check out other mystery books in the future! Any recommendations? Did you read this? What were your thoughts on it?
